Terms and Conditions
“Chess Catalyst Club” is the trading name of a registered sports club operated under Trade License No. 66520 issued to Tretiakov Enterprises – FZCO. The club is officially approved by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and operates under the “Sports Coaching” business activity authorized by the International Free Zone Authority (IFZA), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Chess Catalyst Club offers a range of educational and competitive chess activities, including training, tournaments, masterclasses, and exhibition matches with Grandmasters and other experienced players.
1. Informed Consent
I understand that reasonable safety procedures and risk awareness will be followed during “the activities” and I give my consent for myself and/or my child to participate voluntarily.
Chess Catalyst is committed to upholding local cultural norms and community values. I confirm that I/my child am/are physically and medically fit to participate. In the event of illness or injury, I consent to basic first aid being administered and, if necessary, consent to emergency transport and treatment until such time I can be contacted.
2. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
I acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participating in Chess Catalyst Club activities, including travel to and from venues. In the event of any injury, illness, disability, property loss, or death resulting from participation, I agree not to hold Chess Catalyst Club or any individuals involved in the organization (including activity leaders, volunteers, or associated institutions) liable for any claims or damages.
3. Registration
3.1. Submitting the registration form constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3.2. All registrations must be completed via Chess Catalyst Club’s designated registration or payment platform prior to participation.
3.3. Discount codes, if applicable, must be used at the time of booking.
3.4. For participants under 18, the registration form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
3.5. Chess Catalyst Club does not carry insurance, participation is undertaken at the registrant’s own risk.
3.6. Personal information collected during registration will only be shared with third-party service providers when necessary (e.g., dietary needs for event catering).
4. Payment
4.1. Chess Catalyst Club, operated by Tretiakov Enterprises – FZCO (Trade License No. 66520, Dubai IFZA) and officially registered with the Dubai Sports Council, is in the process of setting up its corporate bank account and digital payment methods. Until these are in place, all payments for activities shall be made in cash at the time of each class or session.
4.2. Upon completion of the account set up, payment will be accepted via authorized digital and cashless platforms, and participants will be notified in advance of the updated payment process.
4.3. Participation in any class or activity is contingent upon full payment being made prior to the start of the session. Failure to make payment may result in the participant being denied entry.
5. Refunds & Non-Attendance
5.0. This section is not currently applicable while Chess Catalyst Club is in the process of formal corporate bank account opening. At present, all payments are made in cash at the time of each class, and no advance bookings or prepayments are collected. The terms outlined below will become applicable upon completion of company registration and the activation of a formal payment and registration platform.
5.1. Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled start of an activity are eligible for a 95% refund.
5.2. Cancellations made more than 2 days prior to the scheduled start date will be eligible for a 50% refund.
5.3. No refunds will be provided for non-attendance without prior notice.
5.4. No partial refunds will be given for late arrivals or early departures.
5.5. Refund requests must be submitted within 1-7 days of the scheduled activity. Refunds will be processed using the same method by which payment was made or by cash.
6. Activities Disclaimer
6.1. Promotional materials reflect intended activities, but there is no guarantee that all activities will take place during every session or week.
7. Force Majeure
Chess Catalyst will not be liable for cancellations, delays, or modifications caused by circumstances beyond its control (Force Majeure), including but not limited to natural disasters, war, government restrictions, or public health emergencies. Reasonable alternatives will be offered where possible.
8. Behavior & Safety
8.1. Chess Catalyst Club implements a three-strike behavior policy with the goal of offering students opportunities to adjust their conduct.
8.2. Chess Catalyst Club reserves the right to exclude any participant whose behavior compromises the safety or wellbeing of others and the parent or guardian shall be notified immediately.
8.3. Verbal abuse toward staff or other participants by a student or guardian will result in exclusion from the program without refund.
9. Additional Learning or Behavioral Support
9.1. Chess Catalyst Club does not provide 1:1 support for students with learning or behavioral needs.
10. By Registering
You agree with the Terms & Conditions and the FIDE Rules (https://handbook.fide.com/). You also agree to waive the right to pursue any claim against Chess Catalyst Club and the persons in charge and agree to share photos, names, and videos of players on social media.
